Embarking on a journey through Yosemite's granite wonderland was like stepping into a dream carved in stone! Mountains that defy imagination, squeezing jaw-dropping beauty into every nook and cranny.

View from Glacier Point

Now, buckle up for a five-day escapade in Yosemite National Park – a rollercoaster of wilderness, surprises, and a touch of bear-themed drama. Our campsite, not exactly THAT budget-friendly, turned out to be a cement slab and some canvas. Fancy, huh? But fear not! A bear bin stood guard a stone's throw away, ready to protect our snacks from furry freeloaders. The image of four of us crammed into a tiny room, contemplating cold showers and the absence of morning coffee, flashed before our eyes. Little did we know – it was the recipe for the time of our lives, surrounded by nature's embrace. Take a peek at our "bear-proof" tent – or not!

"Glamping in Yosemite"

Welcome to "Glamping in Yosemite" – where the Wi-Fi is nonexistent, distractions are a thing of the past, and it's just us, gathered around a crackling fire, swapping stories about life. Everything stops just for a few moments and you truly can appreciate where you are and who you're with.

Our hikes were more of the horizontal variety, courtesy of a few injuries in the group, but fear not – the Yosemite must-do list is here:

  1. Drive the Valley: Behold El Capitan, Half Dome, and the mesmerizing Bridalveil Falls.

  2. Venture to Glacier Point: Brace yourself for an hour of winding roads and jaw-dropping views.

  3. Stroll through Mariposa Grove: Stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Giant Sequoias (buses are required to take you to the hikes during busy seasons).

  4. Conquer Mist Trail, Yosemite Falls, and Sentinel Dome: (Psst...you need a permit for the last one.)

  5. Explore Yosemite Village and Camp Curry: Because who can resist the charm of these park hotspots?

Views from along Mist Trail - this hike is very uphill

As for coffee enthusiasts – fear not! Cafés and even a Starbucks await within the park. Just a heads up, you might need to navigate the entire loop to keep your coffee warm. So, if someone decides to hit snooze, their vanilla latte might be on the chillier side.

Yosemite Must Haves:

1.Headtorch - when the sun goes down there are no lights!

2. Hiking Bag for your water and lunch!

3. Water bottle - of course!

4. Hiking Poles for the hard walks!

5. Comfy Socks

6. Good walking shoes

So there you have it! Get all the gear and get on your way!
